Hello,

We have just installed CPS in our Solution Manager 7.1. The CPS release is Build: M28.17-35130.

The license keys - free - are:

CPS-Basic ProcessServerService.SAP.ApplicationsAPI true
CPS-Basic ProcessServerService.SAP.SolutionManager true
CPS-Basic ProcessServerService.SAP.XBPExternal true
CPS-Basic ProcessServerService.SAP.limit 0
CPS-Basic System.NamedUsers.limit 10
CPS-Basic System.Production true
CPS-Basic company.contract CPS-Basic
CPS-Basic company.name xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
CPS-Basic product.name SAP Central Process Scheduling by Redwood
CPS-Basic signature 3
CPS-Basic system.id SAP:SOL_00

I have read in the Administratio guide and in other posts that in the free license i cannot define more that one sap system client per isolation group, but I have the doubt of how can I monitor more than one sap system or even more that one client in the same sap system?

Thanks and best regards,

Ana.

Hello Ana,

As per the Administration Guide, in your SAP CPS application you can set up multiple Isolation Groups. After logging into one of these Isolation Groups you can set up a connection to a remote (or local) SAP system and start scheduling jobs in that system. You will have to create an Isolation Group per SAP system you want to connect to and schedule jobs in.

In the fully licensed version you can connect to multiple SAP systems from the same (or from the GLOBAL) Isolation Group. This makes it possible to make dependencies between jobs running in multiple SAP systems (for instance R/3 and BW).

Hello Gerben,

But, If I want to monitor several sap systems, and I have to logon with each isolation group, how can I monitor all the system within the same screen? Is It possible a centralized monitoring with CPS and the free license?

Thanks and best regards,

Ana.

Hello Ana,

Sorry for the delay. What you can do is run job System_Isolation_SetUser to grant one and only one user the elevated rights as an Isolation group superuser to look in every Isolation group at the same time. All other users will have to connect to individual isolation groups to do things for that SAP system.
