Hi ,
You can do it with the help of Substitution Rules.

I need to change the existing value. If I use substitution it's only applicable for the new posting isn't it ?

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi,
Here you have selecetd D, you need to select it as per the document that you want to change.

If it is a GL document, give that option and make the field as changeable in the document change rules.

Then when you go to transaction FB02 and then go to the Additional Data tab, there you see these two fields.Earlier they might be greyed out for you. Now after making settings in the document change rules, you will see that these two fields are again ready for input in FB02. Enter whatever values you want and then save the document.

Hi Srik,

Can you please explain to me, I already define in OB32 :
- account type : D
- trans type : blank
- field name : BSEG-XREF1

and also
- account type : S
- trans type : blank
- field type : BSEG-XREF1

I never see this field in FB02 - additional data or line item display. How to see ?

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Melissa

There are more changes which need to be done. The following steps are necessary to show or hide fields in accounting:

- Doccument change rules header (SPRO -> FI -> FI Global settings -> Document -> Rules for changing documents -> Document change rules, document header)
- Document change rules line item (TC: OB32)
- Posting key (TC: OB41)
- Field status groups (SPRO -> FI -> FI Global settings -> Ledgers -> Fields -> Define field status variants)
- Special field display (SPRO -> FI -> GL Accounting -> Master Data -> GL Accounts -> Line items -> Define Special Fields for Line item display)

I hope this helps.

Best regards

Hi Jean,

Thanks for your help, I've added the field BSEG-XREF1 and BSEG-XREF2 using the way as you suggested.
For OB41 - I cannot find reference key 1 and 2 in the selection.
For Field status group - I cannot find reference key 1 and 2 in the selection too.

FYI, I'm using ECC 6. For special field display
When I want to change document using FB02, I still cannot see the field.

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Melissa

In the field status groups the field is called Reference specification 1/2.

Could you please check again?

Best regards
