Important name change to BIA

For clarification, in 2008, SAP used the term ‘business intelligence’ in two ways:
* SAP BusinessObjects BI solutions
* SAP NetWeaver BI
In order to remove confusion, the term business intelligence is now associated only with the solutions from the SAP BusinessObjects portfolio.
SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (BI) is no longer used and instead we refer to the following:
* SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (BW)
* SAP Business Explorer (SAP BEx)
* SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator (BWA)
We hope this helps clear up the confusion.

Hi Jonathan,
BWA actually introduced new confusion. So far it has been (and is still) used in CRM/BW connectivity for "BW Adaptor", including all corresponding BWAx transactions for configuration of data exchange between CRM and BW.
What was the problem with HPA or "High Performance Analytics" in the first place? Actually, "High Performance" was even beter description, then "Accelerator" - the term being used in ASAP methodology for the description of document templates, including some for BW.
Regards,
-Vitaliy

Jonathan, If we can have a blog regarding this it would be nice and also if the same could explain the progression of names SAP Business Intelligence has been going through....
Or if required a post in every forum of Business Intelligence which can be made into a sticky for reference...?
