Dear community members,

Please read SCN's rules of engagement before posting in this forum. There have been some changes regarding these rules in the recent past. As a reference, please read Michael Schwandt's blog about moving to strict rules to improve quality and control.

For review purposes, pay attention to the following rules as they are the most frequent abuses on the forums:

- Threads requesting documentation / information particularly via email addresses will be immediately locked and the user banned. Users who respond to these requests and send information via email will have their points unassigned.
- Do not post links or documentation that could potentially be copyrighted. If in doubt, the content will be deleted.
- Please title your question appropriately. You have 50 characters to garner attention from community experts so be sure to adequately and accurately describe your question. Subjects with "PLZ", "Urgent", "Hiiii", "Burning", "Critical", "I need help", etc. will be immediately locked. The same is true for "????" or "!!!!!". One is sufficient, none is even better.
- Do not offer to reward points for good solutions. Do not request points for your answers.
- Ask only one question per thread.
- Do not cross post in multiple forums.
- Use appropriate language. Be considerate and professional towards others when posting questions or answers. Do not use SMS "text speak". Postings with "plz hlp me" or "u r not clr. plz clarify" are not appreciated and will be deleted.
- The most important rule... be sure to search before posting. You can use either SDN's basic search or advanced search, or an internet search engine such as Google. As an example, questions such as "How to migrate to the NewGL" have been asked many times before and will most likely be ignored by the community.

If you are willing to share your information, please consider adding it to the Wiki so long as it is compliant with any associated copyright rules.
